Starting and Staying With Why

Things don’t pop up from out of nowhere - there is always a reason why things come into existence. Not only do objects have a certain purpose of why they were originally invented (the true reason is often only known by the individual who invented the object), but every company also has an underlying purpose to their establishment and existence. While some companies get caught up in the growth process and revenue earning cycle, it is the dedication to the why of what companies do that propels their success through time.

PrAACtical Solutions Consulting is embedded in the principle of starting with why. I didn’t wake-up one morning and decided to start my own small business just because. In fact, just a few short months ago, I couldn’t imagine that I would ever start a business nor did I want to. However, life is unpredictable and here we are.

The why of PrAACtical Solutions Consulting is to make unlock the possibilities and potential of individuals with complex communication needs. Navigating life and the world as someone who has AAC needs is a very unique experience that requires the adequate support. So many individuals with complex communication needs fall short of reaching their highest potential due to inadequate support. PrAACtical Solutions Consulting aims to provide individuals with complex communication needs and those who support them with the knowledge, skills, tools, resources, and confidence to achieve full engagement and grow personally and professionally.

We don’t exist to be popular nor become a million dollar company. This company is a passion project. It is a way for me to directly influence the lives of individuals with complex communication needs, the same way that my own mentor and colleagues have done and continue to do for me. PrAACtical Solutions Consulting is a supplement to my day job (where I carry out my biggest passion), which is AAC training and implementation where I create supports to enhance the implementation of language systems by members of AAC support teams. It is an opportunity for me to directly interact with and impact the lives of the people who drive my passion for AAC.

I am dedicated to not only starting with why, but to also staying with why and I hope you’ll join me in making the world a better place and unlocking the potential of individuals with complex communication needs by learning along with me by starting and committing to your why.
